As an Artist:
I am currently a Juneau based artist, educator and scholar. While serving as a teaching artist in the public school-based program, Juneau Alaska Music Matters, I perform as a violinist with the Mendenhall Quartet and the Juneau Symphony Orchestra. My performing career began with my younger siblings and I on the guitar, harmonica and/or fiddle at local coffee houses and gatherings. Since then, music has taken me across North America. I have performed with symphonies, chamber groups, musicians, artists, and, as a soloist at concert halls, schools, music festivals, community events, and local businesses. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to perform with professional musicians and music educators including Nicole Edwards, Kim Beggs, Daniel Janke, Fawn Fritzen, and Andrea McColeman. It is these artists who were my childhood heroes, inspiring me to pursue a career in music education.
